LAHORE (The Thursday Times) — In a move set to reshape Pakistan’s two-wheeler market, Atlas Honda has formally introduced two new offerings: the CG150 motorcycle and its first-ever electric scooter, the Icon e. The twin launch underscores the company’s ambition to serve both traditional and modern segments of Pakistani consumers, amid growing interest in electric vehicles.
The CG150 had already stirred anticipation following repeated road sightings. Now officially on sale, the 150cc four-stroke motorcycle features both kick-start and self-start functionality, priced at Rs. 459,900. Designed with simplicity and everyday reliability in mind, the CG150 caters to riders seeking value within the 150cc category, while maintaining a classic aesthetic.
The new model evokes vintage appeal with a round LED headlight, chrome fenders, a flat seat, and a matte green fuel tank embossed with golden badging. Alloy wheels and a hybrid digital-analogue meter further blend tradition with subtle modernity. Its frame and engine remain exposed, enhancing its rugged visual profile.
Built for city and semi-urban use, the motorcycle employs an all-forward gear transmission for smooth transitions and is supported by a fuel-efficient engine. Safety enhancements include a combined braking system and LED indicators to improve visibility during low-light conditions. Honda positions the CG150 as an accessible and dependable option for both novice and experienced riders.
In a parallel unveiling, the company also debuted the Icon e, its maiden entry into the electric scooter space. Priced at Rs. 419,900, the scooter represents Atlas Honda’s formal step into Pakistan’s electric mobility sector, aligning with the National Electric Vehicle Policy.
The EV’s introduction follows a disclosure last month via the Pakistan Stock Exchange, where Atlas Honda confirmed its ongoing engagement with regulators to streamline the scooter’s entry. Road testing and quality assurance stages have already been completed, according to company officials.
