The story so far
The defence-industry memorandum Pakistan, Türkiye, Qatar and Indonesia signed in Doha in October 2026.
This story is no longer running; everything written on it stays here.
Signed in Doha with little fanfare, the Badr memorandum joins Turkish factories, Qatari capital, Pakistani scale and an Indonesian market. Read as industrial policy rather than a pact, it may matter more than it looks.
DEFENSE
The four countries have agreed to cooperate on military production, training and research and development, in a memorandum the Turkish defence ministry says carries substantial economic importance.
INTERNATIONAL
Pakistan, Türkiye, Qatar and Indonesia are expected to sign a defence industry cooperation memorandum in Doha as Qatar plans a local defence production hub.
