CUPERTINO (THE THURSDAY TIMES) — Apple has raised the bar for premium smartphones with the launch of the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, combining new materials, advanced thermal engineering and pro-level creative tools in what it describes as the most powerful iPhone to date.
The devices feature a re-engineered aluminium body with integrated vapour chamber cooling to ensure sustained high performance. Apple’s new A19 Pro chip delivers faster CPU and GPU speeds, promising a leap in both gaming and professional applications.
Photography and videography take centre stage with an all-48MP camera system, including ultra-wide, wide and telephoto lenses capable of up to 8x optical zoom. The front camera has been upgraded to 18MP, offering sharper selfies with improved low-light performance.
Battery life is another major selling point: the iPhone 17 Pro offers up to 33 hours of video playback, while the Pro Max stretches this to 39 hours, the longest ever on an iPhone.
Apple is also targeting professional creators with tools such as ProRes RAW recording, Genlock and time code support, making the device a credible option for filmmakers and digital content producers.
Available in new colours including deep blue, cosmic orange and silver, the iPhone 17 Pro series is set to reach stores this month, with Apple already touting record-breaking pre-order interest.
