Bollywood style propaganda’ ahead of Bihar, Bengal polls: Pakistan warns of swift, decisive reply

ISPR says that ahead of the Bihar and West Bengal elections, India’s military leadership is recycling “Bollywood-style, fabricated scripts,” a posture it calls irresponsible and dangerous for South Asian peace and stability. Pakistan, it adds, has the capability to deliver an immediate and forceful response to any act of aggression.

RAWALPINDI (THE THURSDY TIMES) — Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations says that five months after Maarka-e-Haq Indian military leaders have resumed “delusional, fabricated and provocative propaganda” as Bihar and West Bengal enter election season, describing the remarks as the latest iteration of narratives repeated before every state poll in India.

ISPR says it is “saddening” that the military leadership of a nuclear-armed country issues irresponsible statements under political pressure and that the lies being fed to domestic and international audiences have turned India’s military machine into a “laughing stock”.

ISPR says any professional soldier knows that unnecessary chest thumping and unwarranted statements can ignite a cycle of jingoism with serious consequences for peace and stability in South Asia. It says contradictions in the recent Indian Army presser are so evident that they do not deserve a response. ISPR says Indian leaders are attempting to mould history by scripting outlandish Bollywood-style storylines and that the Indian Army and political leadership have not reconciled with what ISPR describes as a decisive defeat in Maarka-e-Haq and the full exposure of their falsehoods.

ISPR says the world now recognises India as the true face of cross-border terrorism and as an epicentre of regional instability driven by adventurism and hegemonism to the detriment of its own people and its neighbours. It says Pakistan’s people and armed forces are fully capable of defending every inch of the country and that any act of aggression will be met with a swift, resolute and intense response that posterity will remember.
