The 277th Corps Commanders' Conference, presided over by Field Marshal Asim Munir, resolved that any attempt to create a "May 9-like situation" would be met with "decisive force," on any pretext whatsoever.

Security forces launched Operation Al Azm in Mastung's Tehsil Khad Kucha, killing 15 terrorists and wounding 12, according to security sources. Eight suspects were detained, one hideout destroyed and a large cache of weapons seized. No casualties were reported among security forces.
