اقوام متحدہ کے سیکرٹری جنرل کے ترجمان نے ورکنگ گروپ برائے جبری حراست کی سابق وزیر اعظم عمران خان کی رہائی کی سفارش بارے رپورٹ کی ذمہ داری لینے سے گریز کردیا۔ ترجمان کے مطابق یہ سفارش ایک آزاد پینل کی جانب سے کی گئی ہے، اور اقوام متحدہ کا سیکرٹری جنرل اس پر تبصرہ نہیں کر سکتا۔ انہوں نے پاکستان کی موجودہ سیاسی صورتحال اور عمران خان کے حالات کو مثبت انداز میں آگے بڑھانے کی امید ظاہر کی ہے
