VIRGINIA (The Thursday Times) — Republican nominee Donald Trump announced on Thursday that he will not participate in another presidential debate against Kamala Harris ahead of the November 5 election.
This decision followed several polls indicating that Harris outperformed Trump in their recent debate. Despite claiming victory on social media, Trump stated, “There will be no third debate.” His advisers and donors acknowledged that Harris had the stronger performance, largely because Trump struggled to stay on message. Harris responded, emphasizing that voters deserved more debates. Polls showed a majority of viewers believed Harris won.
The debate, watched by over 67 million viewers, sparked discussions, with 54% of respondents in a CNN poll and 53% in a Reuters/Ipsos poll agreeing that Harris had outperformed Trump.
