Australian cricketer Shane Warne dies of critical heart attack at 52

Shane Warne, the former Australian ODI cricket captain, has died at 52. His family confirms that the admirable spin bowler suffered a heart attack while vacationing on the Thai Ko Samui island at a private villa with three friends.

His family’s statement reads as follows:

“Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived. The family requests privacy at this time and will provide further details in due course.”
