Pakistan Army slams Indian Army Chief’s false terrorism claims

Pakistan's military denounced the Indian Army Chief's accusations as baseless, calling them a distraction from India's Kashmir abuses. The ISPR criticised India's double standards and exposed its covert operations.

TLDR:

• ISPR rejects Indian army chief’s claims

• India accused of diverting global focus

• Allegations reflect India’s double standards

RAWALPINDI (The Thursday Times) — Pakistan’s military has firmly dismissed the Indian Army Chief’s recent statement regarding Pakistan, labelling it as factually incorrect and a glaring reflection of India’s double standards. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that accusations of Pakistan’s state-sponsored terrorism are baseless and an attempt by India to distract global attention from its human rights abuses in occupied Kashmir.

ISPR counters Indian claims with firm rejection

The ISPR condemned the Indian Army Chief’s allegations, asserting that branding Pakistan as a hub for terrorism contradicts reality. This narrative, according to ISPR, serves to revive India’s defeated stance and is a failed strategy to deflect from its domestic and regional failures. Pakistan has categorically rejected these unfounded and deceitful accusations, highlighting India’s duplicity in its regional policies.

Attempt to divert global focus from Kashmir

According to the ISPR, India’s accusations are a deliberate strategy to divert international attention from its ongoing human rights violations in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian military’s oppressive measures against Kashmiris, supervised by the current Army Chief during his previous deployment in the region, underscore the political motivations behind these misleading claims. The ISPR emphasised that such statements reveal the Indian military’s increasing entanglement in politics.

India’s double standards and regional destabilisation

The ISPR highlighted that India’s accusations against Pakistan are hypocritical, especially considering India’s own involvement in cross-border aggression. Pakistan pointed to the capture of a senior Indian military officer within its territory, who was allegedly orchestrating terrorist activities against innocent civilians. This incident exposes India’s covert operations and weakens its credibility on the global stage.

Global awareness of India’s actions

The ISPR stressed that the international community is well aware of India’s inflammatory rhetoric and genocidal statements against Muslims. India’s actions, including cross-border violence and severe human rights abuses in Kashmir, cannot be ignored. These oppressive measures only strengthen the Kashmiri people’s resolve for self-determination, as recognised by United Nations Security Council resolutions.

Call for responsible military conduct

The ISPR called on India’s military leadership to prioritise professionalism, decorum, and adherence to international diplomatic norms over politically motivated propaganda. Pakistan urged India to acknowledge the reality rather than spreading false narratives of terrorism, noting the contradiction in India’s claims in light of its own involvement in destabilising actions.
