According to a report by a private television channel, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, speaking to journalists, said that General Bajwa had hired Husain Haqqani to lobby in the United States, and that Husain Haqqani had been promoting General Bajwa and campaigning against him in America.
Imran Khan said that at their last meeting General Bajwa asked him whether he was a playboy, and that he replied, "Yes, I have been a playboy."
The PTI chairman said on the occasion that General Bajwa was, on the one hand, striking him on the back with a stick, while on the other he was also sympathising with him. He said that General Bajwa's set-up was still functioning within the establishment.
The former prime minister said that the MQM was being brought together and members of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) were being made to join the Pakistan Peoples Party. He said General Bajwa did not want accountability, and that this was why relations between them had soured.
Speaking about his wife, Bushra Bibi, the PTI chairman said that she is a housewife, and asked what message we are giving the new generation through audio leaks.
Speaking about Bilawal Bhutto, Imran Khan said that he knows nothing about the situation in Afghanistan.
