— Barrister Salman Safdar, a lawyer for Imran Khan, said he met the PTI founder and his wife Bushra Bibi in Adiala jail on Monday for about 40 minutes, his first meeting with Khan in seven months and with Bushra Bibi in 11 months.

In a post on X, Safdar said Adiala jail authorities facilitated the meeting at 4:30pm after repeated requests. “The session was insufficient to cover all cases/legal matters,” he wrote.

He said the couple told him about their health and the conditions in which they are being held, and gave him fresh instructions on certain legal matters and ongoing cases. He gave no further details of those instructions.

Separately, the Lahore High Court has ordered a meeting for Noreen Niazi with her daughters and summoned a deputy commissioner over the detention of Khan’s sisters.
