ISLAMABAD (The Thursday Times) — Pakistan has cut the price of petrol by Rs7.06 a litre to Rs362 and diesel by Rs3.71 a litre to Rs387.81, with the new rates taking effect on Thursday, November 5, according to the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority.
It is the third cut in three days under the daily pricing formula. Together, the three moves have taken Rs15.91 a litre off petrol and Rs15.15 off diesel, which stays about Rs26 a litre dearer than petrol.
The cut follows a fall in world oil prices. Brent crude was down $1.75 at $101.85 a barrel during trading on Wednesday, as markets weighed the war with Iran and the result of the US midterm elections.
