— The federal government has opened registration for the Prime Minister’s IT Certification Reimbursement Program, under which eligible IT graduates and professionals can claim back up to Rs70,000 for international technology certifications.

The scheme is run by the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) under the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication. The approved list includes certifications from Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, Google, Cisco and Oracle. Rs70,000 is the ceiling, not a fixed payment.

To apply, create an account at skills.techdestination.com, complete your profile and upload your CNIC and academic transcripts. Then choose an approved certification, pass the exam and submit your certificate and fee receipt. PSEB verifies the claim before approving payment.

Remember that this is a refund, so you pay the exam fee first and get the money only after you pass. Available accounts mention no deadline or limit on places, so read the conditions on the portal before you sit an exam. The portal lists 051-9205267 and 051-9205269 for help.
