Speaking on the occasion, he said that teachers are a great asset of Pakistan, and that whatever he is today, he owes to his parents and his teachers. He said the character-building of Pakistan's future generations is the responsibility of teachers, and that teachers have to tell the story of Pakistan to future generations.

فیلڈ مارشل عاصم منیر نے کہا کہ پاکستان کو ایسی مضبوط ریاست بنانا ہے جس میں تمام ادارے آئین و قانون کے مطابق کام کریں اور کسی بھی سیاسی دباؤ اور مالی و ذاتی فائدے کے بغیر عوام کی فلاح و بہبود کیلئے کام کریں، جو کوئی بھی ریاست کو کمزور کرنے کا بیانیہ بنانے کی کوشش کرے اس کی نفی کریں۔
