اسلام آباد (تھرسڈے ٹائمز) — ایوانِ صدر نے اپنے اعلامیہ میں عام انتخابات کیلئے آئندہ برس 8 فروری کی تاریخ پر اتفاق کا اعلان کر دیا ہے۔

سماجی رابطے کی ویب سائٹ ٹویٹر (ایکس) پر ایوانِ صدر کی جانب سے جاری اعلامیہ میں بتایا گیا ہے کہ سپریم کورٹ آف پاکستان کے حکم پر آج چیف الیکشن کمشنر سکندر سلطان راجا صدرِ پاکستان عارف علوی سے ملاقات کیلئے ایوانِ صدر آئے۔

اعلامیہ کے مطابق ملاقات میں اٹارنی جنرل آف پاکستان منصور عثمان اعوان اور الیکشن کمیشن آف پاکستان کے چار ارکان بھی موجود تھے جبکہ ملاقات میں عام انتخابات کے انعقاد کیلئے تاریخ کے متعلق تبادلہ خیال ہوا جیس میں حلقہ بندیوں کے حوالہ سے پیش رفت پر بھی بات ہوئی۔

ایوانِ صدر کے اعلامیہ کے مطابق اجلاس نے تفصیلی بحث کے بعد پاکستان میں عام انتخابات کے انعقاد کیلئے 8 فروری 2024 کی تاریخ پر اتفاق کیا۔
